New Jersey’s Pat Miller, Author And Construction Company Owner, To Keynote Annual Construction Industry Meeting

Pat Miller, owner of Blue Diamond Construction and author of the memoir, Kicking Karma’s Ass, will keynote the Annual January Joint Association Event co-hosted by the New Jersey Subcontractors Association, the Professional Women in Construction’s New Jersey chapter, Construction Financial Management Association and the Drywall and Interior Systems Contractors Association.

The event will be held on Thursday, January 18 at Brookdale Country Club in Florham Park, N.J., from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.

In her speech, Miller will recall the often hilarious, often challenging situations she’s encountered during her more than 30 years as an entrepreneur in the construction business in New Jersey, working on the ground at building sites throughout the state, supervising teams of subcontractors, mainly men, while coordinating with architects and developers.

She will also present her own story of resiliency as recounted in Kicking Karma’s Ass – the poignant story of how she rebuilt her life and her business after enduring the tremendous personal loss of her husband, her parents and other members of her family, as well as near bankruptcy. And, how with the right attitude of gratitude, she’s learned that things don’t always work out how you expect or want. Sometimes they work out even better.
